Relatively recently developed short term serviced apartments to let in Barrow-in-Furness, ideal for BAE Systems with all bills, parking and internet included on flexible terms.

Victoria Park are 18 serviced apartments to let in Barrow-in-Furness in the former Victoria Park Hotel. Built in 1901, the building still boasts many charming Victorian period features, most obviously the very large average room sizes throughout and private off-road parking.

There are 18 apartments in all, 17 with two bedrooms and one single bedroom flat. They are ideal for two people sharing, offering modern, comfortable and pleasant accommodation on flexible terms. Most of our clients are corporate customers and contractors at BAE systems but this is far above your average contractor accommodation.

We will advertise availability via this site and Rightmove etc, but we advise that you contact us directly as availability changes very quickly.

Cleaning can be included as you prefer.

Features and Facilities

Each apartment is unique, some boasting large verandas, very high ceilings, en-suite bedrooms, stained and smoked glass windows, floor to ceiling windows and views over town to the coast. Some of the flats also have separate utility and/or store rooms.

    • Popular and sought after area away from town centre noise.
    • Door to door the apartments are 1 mile to BAE Systems Barrow or Furness General Hospital, 2.5 mile to the Walney Wind Farm operations base and still just under 10 miles to GlaxoSmithKline in Ulverston.
    • Two popular pubs, one two minutes away another 10 minutes’ walk.
    • On No 1 bus route, 5 min. walk to Abbey Road for No 6 bus, 3/4's of a mile to Barrow-in-Furness train station.
    • Within 500m’s there are 2 Chinese takeaways, a fish & chip shop, pharmacy, post office, 2 florists, butchers, bakers, 3 corner shops and a Co-Op
    • For Sat Nav follow LA14 5JS this will take you to Victoria rd where the original covered Victorian entrance is.

    Billing & Terms

    • Flexible terms - Short minimum stay and longer stays available. We offer bespoke arrangements on application. Minimum stay for prices quoted on Right Move is 2 months or 8 weeks.
    • All-inclusive package with one bill for everything (rent, gas, water, electric, TV licences and council tax). Broadband internet is also included.
    • Payment in advance with regular invoicing, as required.

    Please note prices for the apartments and utility packages are both inclusive of VAT and VAT invoices and receipts will be provided as required.

    Rental prices

    The two bedroom apartments are priced from £1200 to £1540 pcm as they all have a selection of the different features. Whilst some are bigger than others they are all in the main much bigger than average apartments and very much bigger than most apartments in the short term market.

    The prices here are based on a minimum stay of 8 weeks or two months.

    Optional Services

    • Cleaning/laundry service – subject to separate charge - this can be organised weekly or fortnightly, as required. This can also be included within the rental invoice.
    • Out of hours check in/out via key safe. (We prefer to meet quickly just to introduce you to the apartment.)
    • We have contractors who can assist with most tasks and should be able to accommodate any reasonable request.

    How to book an apartment

    To apply for an apartment please contact us via the relevant email below. There is also a booking fee of £75.00 (inc VAT) to pay. This is for the booking of 8 weeks or more. Please note the info we need is slightly different for a company compared to a private individual.

    Once we have received an email from you, we can tell you what, how and when to pay and begin to agree the stay and when you will arrive etc. Should you get an out of office email reply from Steve, feel free to email the form to

    Heating and Hot Water Instructions

    Using the heating and hot water (we will show you this when you check in if the check in is during office hours). All the flats have combi boilers providing instant hot water and heating. There is a thermostat in each flat and this should be set at about 20°C (Celsius). The controls are at the front on the boiler under a little flap, as shown in picture 1 below. The boiler will be easy to find and is either in your kitchen, utility room or store cupboard. In picture 1 above, the controls and the three nobs at either side of the red 26 should be set as shown, meaning the boiler is ready to give heating and/or hot water at reasonable temperatures. Picture 2 shows the heating timer controls and a small dial showing the boiler pressure. The needle just needs to be in the green ideally, in the green triangular area. See picture 3 below, if this falls and the heating won't come on. To set the heating, first make sure the time is right by gently turning the dial clockwise so the small white triangle points to the appropriate 24 hour clock time (above shows 1.45pm). Above the 0 and clock symbol there is a small white knob with three options.
    1. With the knob at the bottom (as above), the heating is off but hot water will still come on.
    2.  With the knob in the middle the timer works so now the heating will come on for any time periods when the small white pins are pushed in and there is a pin for every 15 minute period.
    3. With the knob at the top the heating is on constantly according to the thermostat setting.
    We would ask that you use the heating responsibly, as we operate a fair usage policy with the cost being included. If you are not sure, please do feel free to ring. Please do not fiddle with the boiler other than using the advice listed here. Underneath the boiler, as shown here in picture 3, you will see two small blue taps/knobs. PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS UNLESS YOU ARE CONFIDENT IN DOING SO. By turning one knob and then the other you can add pressure to the heating system. You should hear the water going in and you will see the needle on the dial in picture 2 move to the right - it just needs to be between 1 and 2 - and the boiler will work fine. MAKE SURE YOU TURN BOTH THE TAPS BACK OFF AFTER TOPPING UP THE PRESSURE.

    A copy of this document should also be in your apartment with some details that relate only to your apartment.

    Payment details and general info

    Heating controls and location or controls and /or thermostat
    The heating controls are on the front of the boilers under the flap. Location of thermostat(s) – hallway – please use responsibly. There is also more detailed information on

    Location of stop cock in case of water leaks in flat is individual to each flat but is usually under a sink and i either a blue plastic tap or brass coloured tap.
