In the last three weeks of January 2022 we took 53 applications for houses with a further 9 applications in the first three days of this week (writing on 02/02/22). This has been one of if not the busiest period we have ever had! We let a lovely house in Ulverston this week at £1395.00 before even having advertised it after valuing it only a week before. We are often asked what the market is like and right now busy is an understatement!

At pc! Lettings we manage our property locally with a team of eleven well trained staff and the use of a bespoke property management  (SQL database) recording everything concerning your property. This helps to ensure the smooth running of tenancies for both you and your tenants. The owners of the business are successful, professional landlords operating in this area as well as full time in the company both have completed the level 3 Technical Award in Residential Letting and Property Management.

Working on a commission basis with set fees charged  we aim to ensure two key priorities

  • Prompt payment of a good rental income.
  • Your property is looked after and cared for as you would expect.

Although the bulk of our tenants come through  recommendation we also advertise houses to let via the Rightmove, Youtube, Facebook and Google AdWords as well as numerous other websites. With nearly 25% of lets coming from existing customers and a long waiting list we often let homes within days. To ensure our properties are seen more than houses to let from other agents, we also  run adverts in the Barrow in Furness & Ulverston Evening mail and provide a lot of local sports sponsorship . Because we spend more on marketing than other  letting agents it is now common to receive multiple applications quickly to help choose the right person for your property.

Often we are looking for a specific property  for clients and we will keep you up to date with a dedicated page detailing our current demand and “wanted properties”. With a very large client base we are always looking for houses to let in Barrow Cumbria, flats to rent in Barrow, houses to rent in Ulverston, flats to rent in Ulverston as well as most other types of residential property to rent throughout the South Lakes area. Our largest client is Bae systems Barrow, especially Bae submarine solutions and the Royal. We rent directly to Bae systems in various company forms as well as literally hundreds of Bae systems staff, graduates and contractors.

With both owners working full time in the company and as professional, qualified landlords we feel no other local agent offers a service like ours. Subsequently recommendation and referral is still the single largest source of new business. We offer a range of services allowing us to cater for both professional landlords and clients just looking to rent one property.
