Coronavirus update 7th April 13.58

Please understand this is only our attempt to help you, further advice should be sought from the NHS website. The advice here has no merit other than our own opinion.

Inform us asap if you or anyone in your household are showing symptoms self-isolating or have the virus.

If you are unable to pay the rent for any reason, please do email us so we can at least inform your landlord for now. We will only be completing emergency repairs as per below

Lack of hot water or heating

Severe water leaks or roof leaks

Electrical faults

Severe plumbing issues in relation to toilets and drainage only

Severe issues with access i.e. keys and locks

Severe issues with fridges/freezers/cookers

When you report an issue let us know your name, basic address, phone number and the problem you have.

  1. Keep your phone at hand we will not have time to keep ring people back
  2. You will need to open the door for the contractor or leave one of your keys out, also open any doors to rooms we need to get into
  3. Follow social distancing guidelines and wash your hands, clean any keys and door nobs/handles
  4. The contractor will ring you or knock on arrival
  5. Open the door for them but then keep away and control any pets

Landlords

Inform us asap if you or anyone in your household are showing symptoms self-isolating or have the virus.

As above we will do our very best to keep up with essential repairs while we can, we will not be able to check with you before works are done. If this is a problem contact your tenant now and ensure they know to contact you not us.

We intend to keep paying rents and can do this via remote access but we will not be posting statements. We will monitor the rent and still let you know if there are arrears of course.

Contractors

Inform us asap if you or anyone in your household are showing symptoms self-isolating or have the virus.

  1. We will not send worksheets out but will email, text or call you
  2. Customers will be asked to let you in or leave their key out
  3. Please call them or knock on arrival
  4. Customers will be asked to control pets, open doors and keep out of the way
  5. Follow social distancing guidelines and wash your hands, clean any keys and door nobs/handles

General advice.

Right now to help with the situation you should;-

  • Wash your hands with soap & water often – for at least 20 seconds
  • Drink water on a regular basis this can help remove germs to your stomach where they are more likely to die
  • Always wash your hands when you get home or into work
  • Do not shake hands with anyone, customers, contractors or suppliers
  • Use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
  • Put used tissues in the bin straight away and wash your hands afterwards
  • Try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell
  • Avoid taking Ibuprofen if you develop symptoms (We are not sure about this either)

Do Not  touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean this is a common way of you picking up contagion on your hands and actually giving yourself the virus.
